Michael David is the author of WordPress Search Engine Optimization (now in 2nd Edition on Packt Publishing) and is a veteran of the search engine optimization industry. He founded the Austin-based WordPress development and search engine optimization firm, TastyPlacement (Tastyplacement.com), which still thrives today. He originally trained as a lawyer and pursued Internet marketing as a second career. He lives in Austin, Texas.

Useful and insightful guide

Michael David explains in a very detailed, thorough and balanced way in his manual Wordpress Search Engine Optimization (2nd ed.) how SEO for WordPress sites works. David explains that; "It's important to keep in mind the role of the search engine. Too often, webmasters think or say Google is against them because Google appears to rank lower-value sites in favor of their own. The truth is the exact opposite: Google wants you to rank – as long as your result serves the need of its user base. You need to give Google what it’s looking for (or Yahoo or Bing, as the case may be), and Google will rank your site higher." (p.3) I was somewhat unnerved by David's to-the-point disambiguation and clarifications of the world of Google and SEO. But don't shoot the messenger: He is merely stating outright what many people don't know and will never find out, unless they read this. He gives the reader the advantage of his insider knowledge. Never again will you be fooled by spam, or hoax emails or all the other nonsense that pitches up on your site or in your in-box. I realized how much more there is for me to do, how things hang together, and which mistakes I must avoid. It was a real eye-opener. Particularly useful chapters are:

Fascinating look at human ability to assign power to outside influences

Very interesting. Well written and driven by research and careful editing. The rise of the fascination or fixation on some ethereal machine that somehow controls the lives of those who believe the machine actually exists, and their ability to describe it for others is startling for those who don't have the same beliefs. Deux ex machines in real life - because to them it is real.
The rather coincidental flood of those who believe they are driven by machinery coincidences with the Industrial Revolution and continues the historical appearance of non-mechanical beings (ghosts, haunts, God's, animals, witches and sorcerers who were the first "influencers." Worth the read, certainly.

~ GOOD RECIPES ~

If you like Kentucky Fried Chicken Food Items this is the Book for you, if not, save your money. KFC Secret Recipes are not that Secret, you can even get many of them from other Books, on Line. The KFC Original Recipe for Fried Chicken picked my curiosity, so I decided to buy the Book, and made the Recipe, also went to a Kentucky Fried Chicken Fast Food Restaurant by my House and order a Bucket of the Original Chicken Recipe and I was surprised to find out that, not only they don't give you a Bucket anymore, I guess you have to ask for it. The Chicken comes in a Box and without any Bones, just the Meat, that is another of the many options you have now to choose from,...I love it, what a Wonderful Country!

I found the recipe I made from the Book to be very good, I couldn't stop eating, one of the Best Recipes so Far, however, it is different than the actual recipe from Kentucky Fried Chicken, even though both use the 11 Herbs and Spices, we still don't know which ones they are in the KFC Secret Recipe, the ones from the Book are Guessed, a Copycat recipe of the Original Recipe. To Quote from the Book: "The recipes listed in this book are not the original recipe(s) of the company or product they represent unless specifically stated to be as such they are to be considered as amazing "clones."

There are 49 Pages in The "KFC Secret Recipes: KFC Style Chicken Recipes, Salads and Desserts" The Book is filled with all of them, every Recipe you always wanted to Know are in this well Written, very Clear, Small, Thin Book, all of them from Kentucky Fried Chicken Restaurants. Table of Contents:

A very Informative Book with all the Recipes from KFC Style Chicken Recipes, Salads & Desserts. I also Own "Top Secret Restaurant Recipes" and "Even More Top Secret Recipes 2" from another Author, with many of the Famous Fast Food Restaurant Kentucky Fried Chicken Recipes among others, so it's been done many times before, Although both Books Recipes are also different as well. I really like Kentucky Fried Chicken Original Recipe, it is my Favorite, the Coating is not that Thick, Mildly Spiced and Tasty. With the Recipe from this Book, I only dipped the Chicken in the eggs and milk mixture once and same thing for the Flour with the Seasoning mix, I did not wanted to create too thick of a Batter. The chicken came out Great, and some Family members liked it even more than KFC Original Recipe.

It was hard to find all the spices needed for this Recipe where I live, thanks to Amazon.com I was able to gather most of all, except for "Ground Ginger Jamaican Blend" I just had to use Ginger Powder. I actually enjoyed the Book and looking forward to make many more of the Copycat Recipes. Another thing I like to mention is the Nice Size Printing Font of the Book, you can Read it and See it so Well, it is Very Black, Big Enough, Right to the Point and Easy to Follow the Recipe Directions Perfectly... I like this Book! ...Thank You D.D.

Most of these recipes can be found for free online. The book is really thin, doesn't contain too many recipes. I'll probably try a few of them, but for the most part I already have the recipes (in some cases better versions).

Worked For KFC Decades Ago As a First Employment.

Prior to most Everything Edible brought in and heated up again or packed and refrigerated in smaller sizes~I prepared the Foods. From Bicuits to Cole~Slaw, to Fried Extra Crispy, I Baked/Cooked from mostly Scratch.This is a "primer" on those days.I really do not like the New KFC's.They were the first in Our Area to create a Chicken Sandwich.{Chic~Fil~A didn't exist yet in Area}.If You want a gander and do not know Anyone from those days of the 1970's,purchase. Amazon and Partners did a great job of Pristine Book and releasing a title I never believed would occur.Will not give Any Secrets Away.Honour.

About the Author

Dale Carnegie was an American self-improvement lecturer and author. Born in 1888, Carnegie was the son of a farmer, and worked throughout his childhood helping his parents with various tasks on the farm. He was fortunate, however, in that he was able to obtain an education in his young adulthood at a nearby Teacher s College. Carnegie worked as a salesman and an actor before he took up teaching public speaking courses at a New York YMCA branch, where he was living at the time. Carnegie s public speaking career took off, and through his success he was able to have several of his books published. His first book, Public Speaking: a Practical Course for Business Men sold well, but his most impressive achievement was the publication of his book How to Win Friends and Influence People, which was an immediate bestseller when it was published in 1936, and has gone on to sell millions of copies in thirty-one languages. Carnegie also worked to open the Dale Carnegie Institute, a learning-ground for those interested in his public speaking and self-improvement techniques, and Dale Carnegie courses are still taught today. Carnegie died of Hodgkin s Disease on November 1, 1955.

A solid, well-researched work.

If a person wants a concise, well-researched, fairly comprehensive book about Abraham Lincoln, it might be a little difficult to find one better than this one. There are a lot of hefty books out about Lincoln, but this one helps a person get to the meat of the matter without having to put in a great deal of time. A fine work, this one.

Lincoln must have loved snakes, but you will lose friends.

Ordered a Lincoln book and received a snake toilet seat. I'm not sure what happened in the warehouse that day. I guess if Honest Abe liked snakes, we could learn to appreciate them too. Ended up keeping the snake seat cover because, honestly, both the book and the seat cover would end up in the bathroom. I keep telling guests to visit the Lincoln bathroom. No one will come back over after visiting the toilet. I guess not everyone shares Abe's appreciation of pythons.

Mathew Knowles has often been referred to as one of the most influential entrepreneurs of our generation in the music and entertainment industry. He was responsible for nurturing and building one of the most successful music groups of all time, Destiny’s Child, and the career of his megastar daughter Beyonc�. In addition, Mathew Knowles has continued to impact the lives of many through his global platforms, which include successful business ventures, record-label ventures, management services for recording artists and producers, artist-development services, endorsement and partnership deals, a master catalog series, film and television ventures, licensed merchandise products, and philanthropic work. Currently a professor at Texas Southern University, Mathew has also presented master classes at Berklee College of Music, Fisk University, the University of Southern California, and Rice University. He graduated from Fisk University in Tennessee in 1974 with a dual degree in economics and business administration, and in 2008, he was granted the honor of Doctor of Humane Letters from his alma mater. Knowles also holds an MBA from Cornerstone Christian Bible College. Knowles’s passion is to educate and motivate in the areas of entrepreneurship and entertainment. He holds countless workshops, seminars, and online education around the globe.

Mathew Knowles' The DNA of Achievers shares what it takes to achieve success

We hear all the time that there are some things that we are just born with that determine part of the course of our lives: this could be simple things like eye and hair color, our height or even if there are conditions we might be more prone towards. In his inspirational book THE DNA OF ACHIEVERS music mogul Mathew Knowles shows us that success is something that ALL of us can have, but we have to develop the traits necessary to make it happen in our lives.

Known to many as the father of Beyonce and Solange, Mathew Knowles draws on the lessons of his own life in business as the manager of Destiny's Child as well as the examples of others to highlight what is possible if you truly want to achieve something great.

Here are some of the highlights you will find that truly shows why it is something everyone in every profession can glean something from:

* First of all the book's sub-title is 10 TRAITS OF HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL PROFESSIONALS, and those 10 traits are 1)Passion, 2)Vision, 3)Work Ethic, 4)Team Building, 5)Planning, 6)Talk-To-Do Ratio, 7)Risk-taking, 8)Learning From Failure, 9)Giving Back and 10)Thinking Outside the Book. In each chapter Mr. Knowles gives us not just personal lessons from himself but also individuals he has met that have developed the traits themselves.

* Speaking of lessons learned, Elsa Garcia shares this in the book about passion: "I don’t know if passion is what drives everyone," she writes, "but it makes you stay true to whatever you choose to do—whether you have a passion for a career, family or life in general."

* In the chapter TALK-TO-DO RATIO Knowles talks about the term he coined to make you more away of talking less than you are actually doing in your life. Nothing wrong with being ambitious, but it is the action that will speak the loudest. Another successful professional David Saltz says this about action: "So you’ve got to have tenacity. That is a key character trait of action-oriented people. To paraphrase a great songwriter: If you know where you’re going, any road can take you there. I don’t deny that talking is critically important in assembling the multitude of elements that go into a television production. But having been a consultant to ABC, ESPN, the NFL and the Miami Dolphins, I know better than most the point when the talking should stop."

* Which is probably the most essential but possibly the most difficult of the 10 traits Mr. Knowles highlights? "Of the ten traits that I have recognized as common denominators among super-successful people," he writes, "Thinking Outside the Box] may be the most challenging to develop and nurture. That is in part because, many, if not most, of us have been conditioned to not extend ourselves beyond certain parameters; we are instructed to acknowledge and accept boundaries within the workplace, for instance. We are told to stick with the “tried and true” and to avoid “reinventing the wheel”—because after all, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”I believe that an ongoing effort to foster innovative thinking fuels the fire of creativity. Hit songs do not write themselves, after all; they take time and, most importantly, effort. There is even an organization that is dedicated to the cause of promoting outside-the-box thinking—the Creative Thinking Association of America. Its mission: “To awaken and stimulate the creative urge in all of us by providing resources for unleashing human potential.”

At the end of the book readers will not just have the tools that have worked for others but there is a quiz at the end of every chapter to help you make application of what you have learned and to set you on the right tract to developing the traits you want for yourself.

The DNA of Achievers Dr. Mathew Knowles book is a Gift to the World

Successful people always have successful traits. Do successful things, they have learned rules or success standards. Dr. Mathew Knowles goes through these 10 traits with examples of each traits and explains of these traits from his personal life, then backs up these successful traits up with friends, business associates, and personal involvements with testimonials from some very successful people that have made him and his business associates successful in life and business. Being a person who loves to read about success, personal development, and self help books. Mathew's book breaks down 10 traits that will help you become successful in any personal journey or business journey. I really enjoyed this book. I think this book will become a self help business classic. I give this book the same credit as Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. You can read it cover to cover. Go back to different chapters you feel you need to work on. I also look forward to getting the special tools and worksheet that compliment the book. If you want a insiders personal knowledge? Worth a read

Definitely not as good as I hoped but still worth a read. The principles were sound but the execution often made it boring and overly long. My two favorite traits were"talk-to-do ratio" and giving back. Mathew is definitely a smart business man that appears to embody the traits he puts forth in this book. I enjoyed the stories of the million dollar family business they ran before Destiny's Child took off and the planning behind some of Beyonce's most successful records.
