Reminiscences of a Stock Operator, by Edwin Lefevre

Reminiscences is a fictionalized account of the life of the securities trader Jesse Livermore. Despite the book's age, it continues to offer insights into the art of trading and speculation. In Jack Schwagers Market Wizards, Reminiscences was quoted as a major source of stock trading learning material for experienced and new traders by many of the traders who Schwager interviewed. The book tells the story of Livermore's progression from day trading in the then so-called "New England bucket shops," to market speculator, market maker, and market manipulator, and finally to Wall Street where he made and lost his fortune several times over. Along the way, Livermore learns many lessons, which he happily shares with the reader.

AMAZING BOOK, Terrible publisher.
By Austin
This book is excellent. Great for beginners to seasoned veterans. However, this publisher/editor that released this copy did a terrible job on this book. It is riddled with grammar and spelling errors. This book must be public domain so this company just threw it together without even running a thorough spell check. Do yourself a favor and spend a few dollars extra and go with another publisher on Amazon. Here is just a snippet...

Great Book About Stock Legend Jessie Livermore
By Bradley Paluch
This is a 2015 reprinting of the "fictionalized" story of Jesse Livermore as told by Edwin Lefevre, which was originally written in 1923. I would suppose the term "fictionlized" is used as the story is written in the first person as if told by Jesse Livermore, although this book is not a biography and was not written by Livermore. Regardless, even after almost 100 years, Lefevre's story about Livermore draws the reader into the late 1800s and early 1900s as you walk in the famous traders shoes. This book does not offer technical strategies, but delivers the reader with fundamental and psychological strategies that have remain unchanged as they have been engrained in basic human nature since the beginning of time. To any trader who has lost and won, this book lays forth the foundation of Do's and Dont's on the market. Before their was George Soros, there was Jessie Livermore. Although Livermore was a famous bear, and was even blamed for bear raids on the market when his positions were all bullish, Livermore was known for his philosophy that there is only right and wrong on the market, rather than bullish or bearish teams to side with.

Great story, but marred by typos and hyphens that are supposed to represent dashes
By Ted Ichino
As others have noted, great book but terrible typesetting. It was clearly OCRed with no proofreading. There are no em-dashes or en-dashes; only hyphens. Any stray dot causes an incorrectly-recognized word--I've seen it hundreds of times when I OCR a document. Only this publisher never took the time to do read it and perform _any_ corrections.
